CD Player Problems - Can I upgrade @ the same time?

CD Player Problems - Can I upgrade @ the same time?
My CD player stopped working today (2004 - Stock Bose system).... I called the dealer and will be bringing it in tomorrow. But I was wondering... would it be possible to ask them to upgrade to an mp3 player instead and how much that cost?

(My car's still under warranty...so just replacing it would be free.)

Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance!

no different wiring for the mp3 bose cd player...

and fits dash differently, thats why my dealer said no.
