ROFL I'm such an idiot

I just ran out of gas, haahhahaha. I was trying to see just how far I could go without running out of gas and I pushed it just a little to far. I was actually on my way to the gas station when it happened. I got exactly 299 miles for that tank. I actually wanted to measure my MPG, so I got a pretty good idea of what I get...about 15.

dude! can you take a picture of your meter!? I want to see what, "engine stall empty" looks like on the meter.

whenever i've got the gas light on, and pushing on E, i always look at the needle from below the steering and say "yeah, it's got about 1/8 left, there's plenty more than Empty."

Or I'd reason: "If filling up gets me way past Full, empty should be way past Empty."

You got 299 miles on 20 gallons? Was that mostly city driving? Because that comes out to an average of 14.95 MPG which seems awfully low. Just curious because I'm currently getting almost 360 miles to a tank and its not bone dry. But I do a lot of highway driving mixed in with some tortuous SF hill driving.

You ran out of gas after only 299 miles?

Wow.. that's like 15 MPG...... that hurts, given the current gas prices.

I've gone 450 miles before one time and still had the gauge above 1/8th... when I babied it for a week.

299? that ALOT for me. living in LA all i do is city traffic driving. im on the highway alot, its just going about 5mph. I get about 220 miles to a tank. its HORRIBLE. most ive EVER gotten was about 350-370 and all I did was drive to San Diego and back and all highway driving w/o traffic (it really is possible)
