redlining VDC on or off?
redlining VDC on or off?
I do field service 2 days a week so I'm on the road a lot. I've been redlining my car frequently and just recently buying the car and first RWD car but... experienced track driver and I do it on clear spaces. I feel the car redlining feels so much better with VDC off and on... is there suppose to be a difference in that or not?
Not sure if makes any effect but it's my own opinion anyone else try it?

I tend to agree with you, It just feels like the car is being held back a little bit when it is on. I just figured it was in my head, so maybe there might be something to it, if you feel the same way. I have no technical comments but i agree with you about the feeling.
This is a fact in my 04.5 6MT:
Rev limiter kicks in at 6700 with VDC on, but not until 7200 with VDC off... And yes, the car performs much better with VDC off; like night and day!

Usually shift at 6800-6900 for all out racing; no need to go to 7200, but she will with the VDC off. With present mods the car pulls well untill near 7000, before mods I was shifting at 6400 because power would fall off sharply at that point.
