'AUTO' headlights

anyone ever try reconfiguring the 'auto' position on the headlight stalk? i would love the sequence to be: 'auto' --> 'off' --> 'parking' --> 'headlight' instead of 'off' --> 'auto' --> 'parking' --> 'headlight'...

has anyone tried somethign like this, or know of a good work-around? basically i hate that sometimes the headlight has to come on for a split second when i pass the 'auto' setting.

if no one has tried it, i'm willing to take a shot but a few questions to get me started:
- anyone have a DIY to take the steering column apart
- anyone have a spare headlight stalk assembly (faulty/non working is fine too) that you would be willing to send me

That would be way too much work for something that's very minor....

It's possible...just a matter or removing the disassembling the stalk to reconfigure the wiring sequence. But like Rookie84 said, too much work for something that's very minor. I'd prefer 'off'-->'parking lights'-->'headlights'-->'auto' . I hate leaving the auto function on because it usually take 20-30 secs for it to shut off and people think I'm a dumbass for leaving the lights on when I get out.

I just flick it to AUTO at night, and OFF when I shut the engine off....i used to just leave it on auto, but never really like the fact it took 20 sec or so to shut off....and tired of people telling me "I" forgot to turn off my lights
