If you don't know this, you need to. If you hold down the unlock button on you key fob the windows will go down for you. Everyone has it. As for the possible breakin, check out the mod that covers up your key holes. Anyone remember the name of it? Begins with E.

anyway glad your G wasnt stolen. I think its impossible to steal our cars unless they tow it or you leave your valet key inside.

well in NJ its cause of Elizabeth port... they steal the cars and ship them out of the country very easily... all traces gone by the morning!

Or it could have been a genuine break-in attempt..
Maybe you sat on the buttons by mistake, or somebody was messing with you?
My top 10 pointers for keeping ur G alive!!
1. dont leave spare key inside!! ...if they steal your car with the key when u get it back they will come & steal it again because they have the key ...u might as well sell it or just take turns driving it
2. no one hotwires cars anymore ...they pull you ignition out & start car with a screwdriver ...G35 has transponder chip in key so that will not work on them (see #3)
3. do not put remote start on your car because that disables the transponder chip (in a sense) then #2 can happen & say goodbye to your G
4. use alpha lock (boot lock )on front wheel (this will hopefully stop your car from being towed) G35 is rear wheel drive so a tow truck will have to tow it from rear so front wheels need to roll & alpha lock will stop front wheels from rolling
5. what about Flatbed?....only an theif with ***** of steel will steal a car with a flatbed tow truck, it takes to long to get the car on bed & is completely too noisy
6. get a aftermarket alarm ...factory alarm is easy to bypass with a flathead screwdriver. also aftermarket alarm will more than likely stop someome from breaking in your car to look for a spare key (if u dont get one ...dont be mad when u have to go to body shop to fix ur door handles cuz of a break-in)
7. escutcheon makes ur door handle look nice doesnt do anything to stop a theif even if u remove the lock cylinder.
8. everyone knows the brain to a aftermarket alarm is under the dash on driverside ....It cost extra but i think its well worth it ...pay extra to have the brain relocated behind the passenger side of dash or under middle console between driver & passenger seats. even if a thief knows its there it will take them way to much time to get to it.
9. all this might seem a little extreme escpecially if u live in a "nice" or "safe" neighborhood but on the other hand....I dont think car theives shop in the "hood" to often ...they go to "nice" & "safe" neighborhoods where there are lots of "nice" cars & not much police because there is a low crime rate. so keep that in mind & lock up ur G
10. I dont care if u live in Beverly Hills if ur alarm goes off look to see whats goin on dont ignore it
I know ppl not from NJ NY metro area might think this is overdoing it but I dont live to far from Newark NJ & I see G35's, 350Z,s M3's, STi's & many others gettin chased by police like at least once or twice a week when Im just passin thru no exageration
