I previously purchases a pro-1 exhaust and for me it was too loud so i had to take it off. I realized that i love the sound of the stock exhaust its just that i want to make it louder. Is there any mod out there that would enhance the sound yet give me some gain? I heard about test pipes but i also hear that they give you rasp and also can be too loud. Will the y pipe change anything? Thanks for the input guys.

z-tube is a great cheap mod, helps out on gas mileage too but I can't say it makes any difference in sound.

I think high-flow cats is a good upgrade to enhance stock exhaust tone but I can't say from experience because I haven't changed mine yet... I am planning to sometime tho.

What about the y-pipe does it affect exhaust tone at all leaving the stock catback?

Crawford Cats made my exhaust louder while not changing the stock tone. My friends noticed a difference after getting the cats installed. I personally love it. Nice power gains also.

y-pipes are a waste of money. They don't change the exhaust tone much at all and the power is at the top end while low end power may be sacrificed.

You can change the midpipe, but you need to be careful, so it doesn't sound "ricey".

+1. I would def recommend cats, and headers if they are in the budget. I did both at the same time and LOVE em!
