well i test drove the g35 yesterday afternoon and wow. i'm still surprosed in it, even more than i expected to be. so i think i'm heading back monday to place an order for a 2004 6mt. to bad i have to wait 12 to 16 weeks to get it

 

if you're on the west coast, it will be something like 12 weeks. if you're on the east coast, it will be early january.

 

I'm in the midwest. right outside of St. Louis.

 

Two things - I think that the first couple of days in the month are the ordering days to the factory. At least that's the case around here. So your order won't go in until beginning of October, and then the wait starts. Second, though, I was in your boat but I kept scanning inventory at dealers within 100 miles of me and I found my same (except Aero added - which i LOVE now) car in an allocation at a dealer < 1 hr away, and lo' and behold, I got my TB coupe at least 8-10 weeks earlier. You should MAKE SURE your deposit is refundable, and maybe you can get lucky. They should have no problem with this.

Thank you very much for the information, i'll deifnately look into weather the deposit is refundable. as for the wait. i don't mind that. gives me more time to get money around for my down payment. trying to put as much down as i can. with me being only 23 it's easier for me to put more down then try to make high payments. when i ordered mine, it was tuesday, 6/3, which was order day. anytime after that, you wait, unless you take one that the dealer ordered.

me, and someone else i know, ordered on order day and saved some $ off msrp

 

i went in to place my order on 09/15, they happened to have one coming in on that thurs. same color, same interior the only thing was it had the aero kit, and i didn't really want it. so i took the one they had coming in, they pretty much threw in the aero kit. i pick it up next monday. i can't wait

 

I didn't order the Aero kit originally and took it like you on a different car and now I love it. Good luck.
