Are Coupe Drivers friendly to each other?
yea almost all g35 drivers arent into cars well at least where i live in santa barbara. i rarely ever get noticed by other g owners but i get a lot of looks from people that just drive regular cars.

Here in San Diego I don't think anyone has ever acknowledged me. I keep my eyes open but most people seem to keep to themselves here. Aside from cars I don't really know my neighbors and I have lived in my apt. for over a year. Maybe its a So Cal thing.

I also try saying hi to G's but i get ignored most of the time, so i just stopped.
Everytime I see G's driving around my neighborhood (at least 2 different ones a day), I always wave, but no one waves back. Even when I had my accord and nsx people in those cars always waved. I always assumed honda people were friendlier... people in my neighborhood who drive G's are usually pretty old, they probably figure I just stole the car or something...lol, whatever. Imma start giving the finger from now on.

How can you not wave back if a lady in a G wave at yah?
One rule I use is if the car is Modded I give props to the person but if it is stock I just ignore them. It is safe to say that a G that is slam with hot wheels/body kit or exhaust will wave back since 99% that they will be an enthusiast like me, but if it's totally stock, chances are they are not.
here where i live there are not to many g coupes around, most of them are AWD sedans. But everytime i see another G on the road i always try to wave or something to them. but since i am kinda young, 19, some older men seem to hate me for it and give me sh!tty looks
There are a couple Coupe owners that will wave back, but most of them are snobs here in Jersey. Although, every young female that I have seen in a coupe has not hesitated to respond back, pull up next to me and roll the window down at a light and start up a conversation. Last time anyone other than that gave any kind of response, it was a couple in a Lake Shore Slate coupe that had to be in there 40s or 50s. They both gave me a thumbs up, I gave one back.

Given people's attitude nowadays, you are liable to get shot if you give someone a thumb up and he takes it the wrong way - middle finger salute. Or think you are gay or a stalker depending on the sex you have eye contacts with.
This driver acknowledgment (by blinking the headlights) thing started decades ago by Porsche and Mercedes enthusiasts. Back in the days when performance cars were still a rare sight. A tradition still withheld by most bikers, by a hand gesture.
Blinking the headlights to each other is indeed a rare practice, or you are mistaken by signaling a cop is lurking around the corner, or get the hell out of the way. I observe that practice not in my G, but when I come upon another Mercedes SL when I am in mine.
The other day i drove by a g and gave thumbs up and he didn't even care and just drove off, than a brand new carrera 4s pulled up next to me told me to roll down my window and said he liked my car, he still had the sticker on the back of his car, i was like damn i like yours alot, its just funny how g owners can be so snobby in a 30 thousand dollar car and someone in an 80,000 dollar porsche can still appreciate good looking cars
The only type of cars that people feel that they belong in a "exclusive" club are going to be the ones with a heavy passion for. Those are the people who will take the time to wave or say hi...not to mention it's rare to see another one on the road. The G35 sold like hotcakes and most people out there are just normal people who bought a nice car.

I would say, that there are so many G's out there, we forget that in our little G35Driver.com world. Just like the way some people are saying "Oh, why are all the G having these rattles"... and forget that about 20,000 were sold per year (if not more) and this is a small population here in these forums. Anyways, I only waved twice in 9 months and the other G drivers weren't even looking my way so I'm not sure
Yeah I always give them a thumbs up or wave at them. But over here in Orange County, CA. I think everyone is just plan stuck up or think they are too cool. Then again, I'd say over half the people I see that drive the G are at a much older age. Like 40 and up. If you see me on the road...."Holla"!
