Turn Signal stops working after a few actuations.

This may belong in the lighting section but I thought someone here might be able to help (technical aspect)...

I recently had a high intensity LED setup installed in the turn signal assembly
on my 04 G35 Coupe.

Problem: The turn signal will stop signaling after 3-5 actuations when the engine is running. If I reactuate the turn signal soon afterwards it will stop working after just the 1st actuation. This is the same on both sides.

When the engine is completely off the turn signals work and will not stop even after 100 actuations.

I understand that the running voltage when the car is running is higher which may cause certain modules (light control module?) to detect a beyond spec reading.

The LED setup has a 2.1 amp draw.

Does anyone know a way to circumvent this so the turn signal will work all the time? Thanks for the help!

2.1 amps for turn signals?

It does sound like a voltage issue IMO.

So, when do we get to see some pics or a video of this setup?

I have this retrofitted in amber:

LED's are notoriously dim, this solves that problem..... but creates another yippie!

I'll post pics and videos when it's all working properly.
Does anyone know where the turn signal relay would be on our coupes?
