What do you mean by giving you a hard time? Is the rotor not coming off? If the E-brake is released and you can turn the rotor, you should be able to get it off. It's just stuck w/rust/pressure/dust. Keep hitting the cap with a mallet or hammer till the rotor pops off. Hope that helps.

I say, put it back together and take it to someone who knows what they are doing. The last thing you want to go wrong is the brakes.

explain exactly what is giving your problems. changing brakes should not be rocket science as some peolpe think. Common sense and basic knowledge of brake operation usually takes care of any hard time.

Im not mechanically declined by any means. I Replaced my head on my GTi after the timing belt broke. Far more complex than this job. Its just some thing does not seem right.

For instance, when I removed the wheels and the calipers there is a pin that holds the emergency brake assembly, you have to remove that pin to remove the rotor. I did that, after I removed it the whole emergency brake assembly went to ****. It doesnt fit back on the hub and the pins do not line back up to where they came from.

Its extremely frustrating. Like I said, I did one side and its the rear left giving me a head ache. Any help out there would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Check and see how the other side goes together?
