Should I do the scheduled maintenance?!

Hello, I was just wondering if you guys take your cars in for the scheduled maintenance at the dealer... i was looking at what they do, and for my 45k mile maintenance which is coming up, it costs about 600 bucks and all they really do is change the oil/oilfilter and "inspect" belts brakes etc...... doesnt sound like its worth it, what you guys think? Am I missing something thats worth the 600 bucks? THanks for the help!

Each dealer has their own list of things they do for the maintenece. $600 is at the high end. At the end of the day its often your perference. You do need to get your air filters and oil changed at the minimum...

That sounds expensive. When I took my 03 in it cost the same amount but I also had the rear brakes replaced and the rotors turned.

Do it yourself, or pick what you want done "a la carte" style from their list of "services". I did that at 15K, because I change air filter, AC filter, etc on my own, so I needed to exclude that from their package. It'll bring the price down quite a bit.
