Well heck! Bust my bubble
It's kinda like the moment you buy a lottery ticket.
What would you do if...?
Wouldn't it be nice if it was covered?

Infiniti vs. Acura Experience

I had my car about a week and the part under my right butt cheek started to show wrinkles. Very disturbing. I have noticed no other wear. I drove an 2003 Acura TL-S for 4 years and when I turned in the lease the driver's seat showed hardly any sign of wear with the only real sign being on the part of the seat that I usually rubbed against when getting into and out of the car. I have owned several cars with leather interiors and have owned quite a bit of leather furniture. The choices and qualities of leather or incredible. My guess is that Infiniti uses an average leather for the G35. My guess is most people are not buying the G35 for the interior.

Anyone else notice that the Infiniti emblem on the back support part of the front seats are wearing? The threads are coming off and it's starting to look terrible.

I use armor all leather wipes and they keep the moisture in. The only bad side to lubing leather is that you have to continue to do it!

Yeah, reason I wouldn't want cloth is instead of getting wrinkles, you would get bare spots where you would rub the cloth getting in-and-out. Had cloth and wouldn't get it again. Also, kinda ruin the Luxury feel don't you think?

UMMM, No.

Leather= Hot and sticky in the summer, Cold in the winter. (Unless heated, then you get a case of swamp a$$.)

Cloth= Perfect all year, and there is zero wear or wrinkle problems in my car.

I still feel luxurious, my engine, and body are the same and how many cloth G's have you seen.........ahhh the feeling of being unique....and comfortable.

Leather: It will get hot but I wouldnt say "STICKY" , unless your hopping in the the car bare skin/naked and your sweat sticks to the leather.

Cloth: like one said , you'll get the fade looking bare spot.

Let me get this straight, you will choose cloth over leather if money/upgrading was NOT the issue?

I never would. In almost every single case, the leather version of a seat seems to have more cushion than the cloth equivalent. And I'm not talking about a Lazy-Boy type of cushion, just something a little more hospitable than the typical hard-as-a-rock Japanese cloth car seat.

Having kids really drives this point home: Leather wipes clean. Spill a soda or bottle of formula, etc. and you can wipe it up. With cloth, whatever was spilled is likely leaving a stain... ...or at the very least, residue within the seat fabric and cushion.

I'd like cooled seats. While I don't like hot leather seats (I can deal with the cold), I absolutely hate having my shirt untucked or my pants wedgied due to grabby fabric. Very annoying, especially on a really hot day.

I have stone interior and I have yet to have hot seats. I use a sunshade so maybe that’ll prevent it from getting hot. Also, I live near the Southern California Beaches so we get a good amount of sun but it isn’t really hot. I think the biggest complaint/problem I see is the resale value. Can you imagine…”…all premium…Navigation…19’ with new tires, and finally Luxurious CLOTH interior…”.

Cloth is for poor people. My roommate used to say he liked cloth until he got a new car with leather. Don't be a hater, cloth is a b!*** to keep clean and nobody will want to buy your car like that guy said above.

My leather is kind of creasing, and im only 5'10, 145, but my old 328 sedan turned into rock hard crap after a couple of years and split all over. Remember, its not always going to be a new car. On another note, have you guys noticed the vinyl-type armrest on the left holds the indentation of your left elbow pretty bad?
