I am curious has anyone installed a chip to watch DVD movies on original Navigation screen? If yes, was it worth it? How is the quality?

Would the warranty be voided or not if that chip would be installed?

I want to install something to play Movies in my G but I am having difficult time making a decision, answers to above questions would really help and if somebody can suggest something I would really appreciate that too.

I have the TVANDNAV2GO in my 06 with NAV, and the the quality is great. I burn music videos and play those. If you search the Audio/Video section you will see alot of threads and reviews on the subject.

 

Yep there's tons of info on the topic. I went with the tvandnav2go unit as well. It's simple to install, and awsome quality. I also went with a dvd player in the lower glovebox (harder to do because of size constaints but easy if you find a small dvd player like mine).

yes it will void your warranty......Check the audio/video forums there is tons of info there

 

since you're in L.A area. Hit up Gee_Im_Fast on Driver. he installed mine and have no problems yet. been a few months already! not sure if he's still doing installs cuz he's been busy with work. great communication and guided me in the correct path as to what I needed.
