I absolutely agree with the brembos and intelli key. I think the brakes on my 06 suck big time. The car is too heavy and the brakes feel a bit mushy. Although a much lighter car, my previous RSX-S felt better than the G. I wonder how much of a difference the stock brembos make anyway. That's prolly one of the first things I'll upgrade. Has anyone ever driven and noticed the brakes on an e46 m3?? Now that's what you call stopping power.

Ever notice how much brake dust are on most BMW's? Im talking about hyper black rims on the front and nice bright silver on the back. Diffrent pads material.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but wanted to ask a question - what the heck are these eXX numbers people put in front of the M3? Is that an engine type referring to displacement, or a version number like C06 for the Vette?

Forgive a little ignorance...

I used to have an BLK/BLK '04. I have an IP '06 now.
I liked the Brembos, Spoiler, and torque of the '04.
The '06 has it beat in:
headlights
taillights
dash
gauges
memory seats
bluetooth
front lip
rims

assuming you want 6mt,
brembos are amazing but do not offset the interior, engine, and NVH improvements on their own

Different model years... E46 (01+) , E36(94-99) etc.

someone find me a IP with BLACK interior in any other year than 04...then we'll talk about the best year. Personally I do not understand the grey or the wheat on the IP.

I have the brembo's on my 04.

I personally like the newer updated interior better but I would have to say I go for the 03-05 spoiler.
I agree!

I disagree! If it was just Brembo brakes on '04s than yes, but there is also a noticeable torque difference, and the above mentioned Graphite interior on IP. I personally only wanted black leather, so the extra torque and brembos were a bonus. I hardly ever go up to redline, so the torque comes in handy for me more than the extra hp would. The interior still looks the same on all years in regards to shape and positions, just quality has improved slightly, and options.
I just had a sedan loaner, and the difference in brakes is significant.
