G45 or G35 TT in the near future?

I am new here and I like the G35 very much. Anyone hear about a possible G45 or Turbo version in the future? 280hp is quite good but I am really looking for 300hp+. At least I like to keep up with those M3s. I appreciate any inputs.

Kevin

I'm sure eventually they'll get to a G45, it'll probably take years though. Just look how long it took BMW to get from the 318 to the 330.

The latets reports that i have heard say that Japan will be getting the R35 GT-R, basically a G I am guessing that Infiniti will get the model and it will be called the GT-R or G35 GT-R, in early 04 and the rest of the world including the US finally will see it in late 04 or early 05

I just got my brake recall work done and my repairman made mention of an 05 horsepower increase as well as AWD where the sedan may be pushng 300+ HP and the coupe...who knows. I don't know if it is true though.

Hope I can wait a year or so for the future model. A Skyline GT-R version would be awesome. But it kind of defeats the purpose of hoping to get a G45 because the car is meant to replace my old everyday car. A Skyline GT-R (assuming it's a turbo version) will just cost too much to maintain and not cost-effective to drive 25K miles a year. I really like the 4.5 liter V8 engine Infiniti makes. Knowing their reputation, it has to be reliable. I have been flirting with the idea of getting the M45 but the styling just don't appeal to me a bit.

Yeah, what I heard is that the car will be "Skyline-ish" but no skyline. The dealer told me AWD and a V8, so don't expect any TT V6. Then again, what do dealers know.

Keeping up with a 03 M3 is not a problem in a 6MT. I have 2 kills under my belt. Here is south florida there is quite a few of them.

I have heard about the 05 AWD TT @ the dealership also....
If so sign me up for a trade in.

Huh?? An E46 M3 will smoke a 6MT, stock vs. stock. Its no contest. And I live in the M3 capital of the world, SoCal.

Re: G45 or G35 TT in the near future?

Agree. I am not much of an M3 fan ever. But my friend's 02 M3 is clearly a bit faster than my 96 993. And I know my 993 is a little faster than the coupe stock vs. stock. This is the reason why I am hoping for a G45 or TT (preferably G45 because of the maintenance reason). I hope the future (more powerful) coupe will make a good daily car. My love for Nissan products started way back since my 280ZX. Since then, I had two Maximas, 88 and 95. I love them all.

Hmmm, interesting. I would really like to know more about that "electric turbo". I don't know how the hell that would work.
