- better steering (more direct, better turn-in)
- better seats and better driving position (lower, closer to the road)
- better looking (much more of a head-turner)
- more exclusive (G35s, both sedans and coupes, are much more common here)
Reasons I like the G better:
- MUCH more practical (the Z was so lacking in space it drove me nuts)
- less harsh of a ride (the Z was pretty jarring)
- cheaper (believe it or not, I paid $4K less for my fully-loaded G vs. my '03 305Z Track)
- and last but certainly not least... more wife/family friendly!
I really loved the Z... take a G and sacrifice luxury for raw performance and you get one helluva ride! If you're planning to reverse what I did--go from G to Z--you will NOT be disappointed (just as I am not disappointed going from Z to G)!

Any recommendations on a dealer for service? I'm in East York, but I bought my G from 401-Dixie Infiniti (props to Justin up there for a great buying experience). It's a bit far for service, though, but I hear Yorkville Infiniti is pretty poor.

I'm in the Newmarket area so I use Doner.
Like you said.. Yorkville REALLY went down hill when Jerry left.
The Canadian section is pretty active, over 90 GTA members...
that's where you'll find posts on meets.
We're trying to organize a cruise to the Adirondacks in July.

The fact is, when I was looking to replace my 350Z with something with 4 doors, the G35 was closest, and... what's that?... they share the "same" platform, "same" engine, "same" tranny, etc. etc. etc.
Now go take a Mydol, swap in a fresh tampon, take a deep breath, count to 10 slowly, and try to behave...

[Sidebar: The IS350 is one helluva nice car, but Infiniti is clearing out '06s right now so I got the G at about 25% less than a comparably-equipped IS. I figure I have 90% of the car at 75% of the cost.]
No mods for me, cuz she's a leaser... but my clear-corners showed up the same day she arrived, so maybe I'll add a few bits.
I am planning on adding an AUX port for my MP3 player via one of the AUX-NIS module variants, but we'll see when I can get time to do that (and the bravery to rip apart my brand-new centre console).
As for allforthedouche... he's light entertainment at best.

I hear ya.. I hate not having an aux input on the car... Infiniti makes a killer car for leasing so long as you don't plan to sell it within the first 1.5 years because depreciation will kill you. The IS350 is a great car as is the IS250 but I live in the northeast so AWD is almost mandatory. Did you drive the 3 series before buying the G? Where did you find an aux input mod for the G? Would definitely be something worth adding if I'm going to keep her till summer '08 (I lease too!).

I think this is the right AUX-input product for a G35 with the 6-disc in-dash head unit, but I'm not 100% sure:

excellent replacement indeed.......if you want to get similiar Z handling into the G sedan, do what i did and get Z suspension parts!! (check my sig!).....
remember though, and just passing this on from reading it somewhere.....straights are for fast cars, corners are for fast drivers.........
