Hi all,

Recently my brake started to squeal when I gentle step on the brake pedal. It is much lounder while the car is in reverse. I had this problem at ~3500.0 miles and now with 8500.0 miles, it happens again. I have schedule service with the dealer to try get it fix, but I'm wary that this will be the last time this happen. Is there some thing inheritly wrong with the G brakes? Or is the dealer tech just did a bad job last time? Has anyone experience this?

 

My rear brakes constantly squeaked in reverse and sometimes in drive. Dealer installed new pads under warranty. Most of the noise is gone. Very light squeak in reverse....

There's a TSB for the rear brake pads. The brakes have a sensor that squeals (from scraping along the rotor) when the pads are worn. I heard the squeal. My rear pads were replaced free at 6000 miles under the TSB.

I think I have the same kind of noise you are referring to also. When stopped and letting the brake go just a little, you hear the squeal right?
What is the update? Has the dealer fix it? Is this the same type of noise mentioned in TSB? If it is, what is the # in TSB?
