When did BMW start making auto M3? No, you won't come close to beating him.

drop your 20's..... throw on some 18's with slicks, take out the back seats and passanger seats, and flatten his tires.... you can take him....

After my recent round of mods/tuning, I stuck with an M3 SMG vert from 40-120.

Too lazy to look it up, but I believe the convertable is significantly slower than the coupe.

Nonetheless, still impressive.

Guys, this may not be as ugly as you think. I have a buddy with an 01 M3 6pd. My 05 Sedan is stock save the K&N. We run quite a bit. He gets me by a 1/2 car length up to 40, a full car by 60. Starting at 60, going up to 100ish (fastest we've gone) it's pretty even. He constantly tells me that his car is no beast between 60 and 120. In fact, he just got eaten by a stock 03 Cobra in this range, and that car isn't necessarily known for it's higher speed performance.
I think the SMG and the manual are pretty equal performance wise.

What with this latest rash of "will I beat my buddies xxxx" questions? Go to a drag strip, and find the **** out.

And BTW, to the OP - I doubt you'll beat an rsx with those 20's on...

An M3 SMG vert runs 13.7 in the quarter mile.

My 5AT sedan with intake, headers, cats, exhaust, pullies, and software should be running that as well. With the addition of cams and a raised rev-limiter, bye bye M3! I'll know for sure in 2 weeks.
