18's or 19's FI

Sorry, was not getting much response in the wheels section

I am going to get Privat Netz "Forged Grey". Should I go with the 19"s or 18"s? The revised 350z springs will be used.

I have plans to go Forced Induction, Stillen Stage 2...that might be a consideration as well.

If your worried about weight for wheels... I'm not to sure about Privat wheels.. but I'm sure they're still gonna be heavy compared to some Gram Lights... or Volk TE37s or CE28s. But if you really want those wheels and are worried about weight.. obviously the 18's are gonna way less

its not weight i am really concerned about...even though it is a nice benefit (i was crazy about it before). I was told that the 18's will allow for more rubber...and therefore better traction..better for high hp w/ FI

OK well then ya you can have a bigger side wall... but i would worry more about width of the rim than diameter if traction is your main concern

Since you are going FI, you are increasing one part of your cars performance, acceleration, going 18 instead of 19 will increase handling/cornering performance. If you look at most of high hp cars out there they are mostly 18s, I am not talking about FI Gs, but more like GT-Rs, Supras and so on that are geared for track/performance. Ride is better on 18s. Also 18" rubber is cheaper with greater selection, I am sure you will be going through it quicker than NA.

I think I will be going with the Axis Penta's 19x8.5 Hyperblack

I found the lip on the privats to be too small.
axis seems to be a reputable company as well

I decided on 19's and Im glad I did. The sedan would not look right lowered on revised springs running 18's.

Here is a pic of mine. 19x8.5 38 offset with 245/40 tires. Hope this helps.
