Any place that sells larger quantites of oil is required by law to accept used oil.

Drink it... and use it as shampoo... Great for indigestion, and exfoliates your pores.

i did this just yesterday. brought it at kragen, but they said container is full. they usually let everybody go and dump their own oil in their container, they also accept oil filters. was not able to do it at kragen. went to autozone, same thing, container full. but they told me i can't go back and dump my oil so they have to do it. but they also said they can only accept used oil with no contamination of milk ( i have 2 gallon of milk container). what the ...? they said it should be contained in an used oil container (those things that you would buy from car parts store like them). so next time i put my old oil in a container, i will reuse the containers where the new oil came from. i don't know if they are bs.ing me since kragen never ask me to do that, maybe autozone is right. i'll try walmart or city/county recycling locations too next time.

My city is the world leader in recycling. Our only options are to take it to a retailer or service station who charge about $1.50 to dispose of 5 litres or take it to one of two recycling depots with unlimited volume for free.

Governments are such idiots when it comes to Landfills and trash disposal. I don't care if you charge a nickle to dump an 18 wheelers worth of trash, there will always be some cheap SOB that will try to save a nickle by dumping it on the roadside. You MUST figure out a way to tax people when they BUY things that end up in a land fill so that you can make it FREE to dump. Those idiots don't realize how much money they could save in litter pick up and junk disposal, if it was still FREE to dump trash. I remember when Rockport Tx closed the free county landfill and put in a trash compactor. They charged a quarter to dump a can and a dollar to dump a pickup load. Within two months you couldn't even drive down most county roads. Tires, palm leaves, household trash, beds, refrigerators, you name it. It was on the road. Sure they caught a few dumba$$es that left trash with their name on it, but it never stopped and it still goes on to this day.
