Car Died

The past three weeks my car has died on me twice. I bought the battery 05 winter/spring and havnt had a problem until now. I got my system installed in Nov 05 and had no problems until the first week of may the car would not start. I got it jumped and didnt seem that the battery was dead just took 10 secs and it started. And today the same thing happend everything went dead. But the strange thing is that the battery did not die all my radio stations were saved and the clock was right both times. I took it to sears were I bought the battery and the battery tested good and they said the altenator was good too. Soo I have no idea wat it is has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks

I have an alpine amp, injen intake, and a V1 tats hardwired to the fusebox.

You need to check to see if you are drawing current when everything is off. You will need a good VOM meter that reads ma and amps. I'll bet that there is something drawing power when the car is off. I should draw a few milliamps when it's off, if it's close to 250 ma or more, you may have a defective amp OR who ever wired them in did not rig the power off wire to shut them down when you kill the key.

I remember seeing some technicians trying to figure out why current is being drawn when the car was off in an infinti dealership.. I think you should try to have them look at it; coz it is probably not your battery and alternator

The amp remote wire is wired to the side fuse box by the drivers side to the Audio 15 amp fuse. I put a switch in between the amp and remote wire, I usually leave the system on and jus turn the car off the amp in the back has a read out with a blue light and that turns off and today I flipped the switch to turn the system off and I come back to the car in 30 mins and it went dead.

System installed Nov. 05 and switch probally early 06.

Disconnect your amp from the MAIN power wire. Try your experiment again. I bet it doesn't go dead.

Can you start the car, THEN flip the switch and hear a slight thump or hiss that would tell you the amp is on? I wonder if it's staying on anyway.

Infiniti can not find anything wrong with it they have had it for 3 days now. The amp turns off fine and on fine. I have no idea what it is, the car starts fine everytime but the past three weeks hasnt started twice.
