Did you all get a quality inspection certificate when you bought your vehicle?
Was talking to a few local G35 owners and they said they got nothing...

Hmmm... I'm not sure if I have one - I'd have to look... where were yours? In the leather box thing with the maintenance book and pen and key ring and crap?...

I don’t remember seeing anything like that... I just checked my records and I don't have one there... if it was in the glove box I would have put it in my purchase/maintenance records or the box thing I mentioned earlier... now you got me curious - I'm gonna have to check the leather box. I want my damn inspection cert!!!

 

Yeah, it feels good to have one...
Now if I didn't get one...I'd think my car wasn't tested at all, but that's not true.

^me too, it was in the upper glove box, and it's still there.

 

My mom got one. It's in the case with the owner's manual. Had 5 miles on it.

 

Anyone know what goes on during these quality tests?
Do they follow certain testing procedures?

yea, i believe there is a dyno test and a rolling test around the factory's track. Check out the production facility thread.

I think we can safely conclude that there is some sort of breaking in going on at the factory

 

That's where I'm hoping mine is... just keep forgetting to check. If it's not there - I call FOWL! And want a NEW car with a test cert!!!!

Kidding of course - I'd like to have one, but it's really no biggie... I got a real good car and have had no serious complaints - especially performance wise, which I guess is somewhat what the cert is for

 

I got one but I'd like to talk to the guy that signed it and tell him he did a ****ty job.. how could he not hear all those squeaks & rattles??!
