I am new to the G35 world after trading in my Redfire 03 Cobra convertible.
It had 470 rwhp and 12.2 @117 on street tires, she would get the groceries pretty quickly. She will be missed.

So anyways, I now have an 03 Black Sedan. I do not know too much about this car yet, so any advice on preventative maintenance and mods are welcome.
First mod is to get a CAI, but after that I am clueless. I am not sure which direction to take this since transitioning from a very high HP car. I am eyeballing the s/c kits to feed my fast, but I am not there yet. Opinions on go-fast mods? How well-built are these engines to handle more HP, etc.? Anyone with NOS??

I like the luxury of the car and I do feel more adult as well. Almost like I should be wearing a suit around all of the time. Definitely a step up on the quality and interior. Creature comforts are great as well. So far after 5 mustangs, I am seeing the attraction of these cars. It's peppy!
Still miss the stang but it's good to be here.

I used to have a Stang. Fun car to drive. I do miss it, but the luxury and moderness and handling more than makes up for it.

These motors are built pretty tough. Vortech kits will get your right at 400rwhp. Twinturbo kits from JWT or APS will yield more hp but do cost more.

One thing you'll notice is that mods for these cars are a bit more expensive. Oh well.

Maintenance is the same as it is for any car. Oil change at 3500miles, change the air filter when its dirty, etc. Wash once in a while and give it a good polish and wax every so often.

Welcome to the club!

congrats and the new purchase. if you start getting near 400whp, you need to upgrade your pistons and camshafts as they are the first to go. if you're set on fi, then build up the small mods now that will support your urge. maybe skip the cai as that will get replaced and get new exhaust.
