MREV / Russ' car thoughts

Thanks to Russ (G35_TX) for taking me for a spin - and me attempting to drive. Wow is MREV sick - even with the weight in the back it quickly and easily redlined and moved. Oh well I guess I'll have to wait for Tony to come out with the MREV for us auto suckers. The Stillen exhaust sounded awesome - I'm sold on the gen1 (louder one) and even when we pulled into the hotel deck ppl asked what it was, nice. It's too back I'm stuck working otherwise I'd def be all over having some fun driving :-)

I didn't think MREV worked on non-revup engines? I just have a regular spacer.

MREV2 will definitely work on the 5AT, but with your spacer you may run lean and need a tune to take full advantage of the MREV2/spacer combo.

I just completed initial testing of the MREV 2 with the 1/2" spacer and now
have the 5/16" spacer installed. Both produce excellent off idle to 4000 rpm torque gains. The test car is an 04 A/T Sedan with Stillen intake, z-tube, Stillen exhaust and TS reflash. To me it appears the MREV 2 works well on all the VQ35DE engines.

That's the first review I've heard for my similar (actually exact) mods... R U who I think you are?... I know someone doing the same thing as you with the same mods as me

You didn’t mention why you are now 5/16" - if you are who I think you are then I know why - no reason yet... however, if you aren’t "who I think you are"... I'm very anxious to hear more impressions of both spacers w/MREV2 and whether 5/16" made notable difference to 1/2"... also, please give details of performance enhancement - low end TQ, mid TQ... minor/major?... I presume it's all butt dyno since you didn’t post actual dyno results.

I'm all giddy now... need to know more!!!

How much does it run lean w/ a 1/2" spacer? I'm stuck with it because no one will want one after MREV2 :-( A tune requires a reflash right? I'd like to see a MREV2 vs MREV2+1/2" spacer vs 1/2" spacer dyno - see if its even worth it!
