Anyone know if they make a grill or why this wont fit a sedan. Or if i can modify it to fit or mount in my car?

Why not just paint your grill if you have a black G35 sedan? I love mine.

that's wack if you are going to paint your grill buy a new grill and paint it otherwise the paint will make all the imperfections stand out unless you sand off the original finish in which case you are doing so much work you may as well get a ne grill

It took about $15 in materials to paint my grill. It took a can of plastic paint primer, black gloss paint, clear, and some sand paper. You simply pop out the grill, pop off the emblem, and adequately scuff all chromed surfaces (takes about an hour of sanding), apply a few light coats of primer, ~4 to 5 light coats of black paint, and 4-5 light coats of primer. The job takes about 5 hours including the drying time. It you have a color other than black, you can always go get a can of OEM paint in a spray can.

If you're not a G owner or car guy, chances are you'd think the grill is OEM.

Thanks for the pic. I was considering this and am positive I am going to go for it. I am debating doing the Mt Fuji logo and advice before I head into it? Also do you recall what brand of paint you used?

Looks very nice.

please help on modifying oem grille

May you guys please help me with the following:

- How did you guys remove the chrom plating on the stock oem grille?

- If you guys used hand sanding, what kind of sand paper(s) did you guys use to remove the chrome and prep it for primer?

- I am a bit worried about not being able to remove all the chrome part..because the oem grille have many intrinsic pockets that are very hard to reach

I am trying to sand it down and paint it to black chrome (or hyper black), which is just like the 05+ sedan oem grille color

Any hints or opinions are welcomed
