Thumbs up G OIL and MAINTENANCE

hey everybody i have a 05 6MT with just under 20k miles. i have been taking it to the dealer for full service (filters, etc..) since ive had it. i am thinking of having it serviced at a local performance shop for my regular oil changes. i bought a couple nissan oem oil filters with gasket but am unsure of what kind of oil to put in? should i switch to synthetic? also how does everyone keep their g maintained? such as in cabin filter, greasings, etc..? i have an injen cold air and i believe they needed to remove the front bumper to install it....how often does this need to be changed or cleaned? hope everyones havin an alright weekend AL

I like Castrol syntec or Mobile 1 synthetic. Just make sure whatever you use that it's 5W30 preferably, or 10W30 if the 5 isn't available.

No need to remove the front bumper to install the Injen, just the wheel well liner. no biggie.
Frequency of cleaning depends on type of driving and conditions. Inspection is done the same as install.

In cabin filters aren't hard to change either, but the dealer wouldn't be very expensive if you went that route.
G/L and welcome to G35Driver.
C.

if you switch to synthetics after 20k you might wanna flush out the motor (NOT W/ WATER) one of those non kerosene based detergents

i use 0W30

i ordered a BOSCH P3784 cabin filter but they sent me a BOSCH box w/ a micronAir filter in it... :-\

at 15k i grabbed a couple cans of sea foam and read the label

i flushed the radiator but i got air pockets in my system

man thinkin about this i m not doin so hot am i
