I am about to put a coupe exhaust on my sedan?
Well the coupe exhaust has a very unique sound of its own and is hard to duplicate. I can make it work but would have to cut out the bottom of the trunk where the spare tire is. I would also have to cut the bumper for the exhaust tips. I just don’t know if I really want to cut my car apart just to get the coupe sound. ??? What do you guys think? Has anyone attempted this before?

I have the Stillen Dual exhaust with headers. I replaced the Stillen resonators with something a little quieter. It cost a couple of HP but it sounds really sweet! No need for coupe parts to get a decent roar going.
i dont think anyone has tried. we discussed...but found the cutting to be too much. if your gonno go coupe style go straight to the HKS Coupe exhaust! anyways, it will be very unique
I've always believed (for the most part) in modding the part to fit the car, not the car to fit the part. Cutting the bumper and undercarriage in the rear may compromise your safety in a rear end collision. I wouldn't do it.
I would love to see someone do it.
I think you would only have to cut the bumper cover so safety would not be affected. The Borla exhaust I have goes under all the undercarriage so again safety would not be affected. You might have to cut a lot off to fit the coupe muffler. At least you could probably find a member willing to donate his oem exhaust to your experiment. So it it costs you under $800 or so then at least it was no more than an aftermarket exhaust.

I would find an alternate mod. There are several sedan exhausts that produce a good sound without a lot of drone. It seems that they would be a better fit than what you describe.
please search
it has been discussed millions of time before

What he said.
Vlad's car sounds great inside and out, I've been in the car and there is minimal drone.
Get in touch with him, he knows what he's talking about.
The custom setup sounds great...
the one that i have right now is not true dual. I am gonna get true dual later on that looks something like stillen has. Right now im running stock y pipe and then 2.5 stock piping connected to 14" glasspack instead of the HUGE resonator and magnaflow muffler at the end. I will post some clips as soon as i can.
