Thoughts on VLSD & VDC
I have been thinking. (uh oh...) When driving with VDC on how useful is the VLSD? (I have a 2004 MT, but the question is non-specific to any model year). I think that the VDC (and its traction control component) react quite (too) quickly to whheel spin - Just makes me wonder is the is any other benefit.
Now with VDC off, I guess it is a totally different story, but I don't drive with VDC off that often.

I have a 2003 with no VLSD, and the slip indicator comes on a lot with the resulting backing off of the throttle. It seems that with a VLSD that the VDC would activate a lot less often and that the power and acceleration of the car would be enhanced.
I think that both have a place on the car. I wish I have the VLSD.

It would be nice if there was another setting like competition mode that would let you induce a little wheel spin and hang the rear out a bit under control. The 04 Vette has this selection setting apart from the normal setting and off. It really lets you get to edge and waits a bit to see if you react enough to control it before it reduces the power and brakes the car to pull you back. That would be a nice program for a third pary outfit to develop if Infiniti won't.
