05 REAR bumper on a 03
05 REAR bumper on a 03
UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! IT WILL FIT... Pics below!!!
Will it fit? I just got rear ended and I was thinking about doing the Rear bumper and sides from a 05. Please let me know. I already did a search and most people want to change the front only.

You might be able to do it. I'd be most concerned with the little rectangular portion near the bottom of the rear fender (the area where the rear mud flap would go).
I think that the rears of the 05+ are much better in appearance, especially how it kinda flairs out a bit at the bottom and its painted to match the rest of the car.
How much time + money do you have? Have you considered going the extra mile and getting a JDM rear bumper? Honestly I think the US rear bumper for our car is so ridiculously elongated.
Appearance wise I'd go:
Sportec > JDM > USDM '05 > USDM '03 w/rear aero

Yea, I was also going to get the rear sides under the quarter panel as well.
As for time, I can wait its not a big deal. I figure if your gonna do it do it how you want it so I dont have to do it again.
For the JDM one, I do like it but I dont know where I can get it. I dont want to much so I dont want the aero. I really dont like the add ons even though they are factory and I know it will fit perfect. I just rather have the cleaner one peice look if you know what i mean.
If you know where I can look at the rear JDM one and purchase one Please let me know. I've seen the rear on a white car already, I just dont know how much and where to get it.

i wouldnt go with the JDM one, cuz you need to take off your re-bar completely, all JDM cars doesnt come with rear re-bar
the 05 rear bumper should be direct bolt on, for the black plastic part of the rear fender, you can get the 05 body colored one to match.

So no one else on here as tried it? I have one person here saying it wont fit.
But from what I see, the 05 tail lights will fit an 03 with no bumper changes which means the lines are right but can the 05 bumper fit the 03 with no other changes as well???

I beleive the rear should be a straight swap, however the front end is shaped slightly differently & require a complete swap. You should be fine. I suspect the people @ nissanparts.com didn't realize the we're only talking rear bumper, not the front setup.
I just got the car back from the body shop. Everything fitted fine. I got the 05 rear bumper with the rockers to match. The only mod that was needed was for the license plate light. I guess the 05-06 light is bigger then the 03-04 ones.
