oh.. i'm not the one who needs a sticker/emblem removed.. i was just wondering how to get one from your home outlet to a car.. if i ever needed to use a hair dryer on my car, it wouldn't be a feasible task.

Don't accept the car on delivery date unless they take off the sticker, so tell them to take it off right away.

Gosh guys take it easy. It wasn't that long ago the idiots used to drill 2 holes in the trunk to mount their 'Advertising".
When you order the car just have them mark on the bill of sale --NO STICKERS OR NO SALE...

have you seen the truck in the mid to late 80's and early 90's with the metal bumpers? around here, the dealership would engrave (deeply engraved) their name and city/state on the back bumpers. it was all done in like an "arial" font. not even anything w/ style.. but i guess they were trucks.. they were meant to be rugged, not luxurious like they are today.

Speaking of etching, has anyone ever had their VIN etched in their windows yet? I've heard that this is a great theft deterrant, and will drop insurance rates. Let me know 'cause I will probably get this done.

mine came etched by the dealer w/ no increase in vehicle price.. they etch all the cars on their lot.. yeah, it decreased my insurance a little.

What is this feature called? How can I get more informatoin on it? and How can it/Why would it lower your insurance?

window etching.. i'm not sure how they do it.. i think they're laser etched so you can scratch it out.. you have to replace the entire window to get rid of it..

i think it lowers insurance cuz it's easier to track stolen cars w/ the vin #'s still in tact.. you can't scratch them out or alter the vin # on them like you can everywhere else on the car, which makes it hard for thieves to sell the car.. other than that, i'm not sure what else it does.. mine came that way, so it wasn't really a big deal.

On what part of the car was this on? Is it on every window? Is it on everyone's G?

usually the bottom corner of every window.. maybe not the sunroof window..
nah.. it's not on all of them.. if u look at your window somewhere along the bottom.. u can clearly see your vin #.. if not, then u didn't get the etching.
