Thanks for all the support, everyone. We may put a rolling gate in the parking lot. I can't move for at least another year and can't bear to part with my car. I may let it sit for awhile until things cool down before getting the repaint.

 

My condolences. That's one of my biggest fears since picking up my G. I've had that happen to a previous car that I owned, for no reason other than jealousy. Door dings are another fear, but most of them can be removed with no paint or body work. I've noticed that scratches often occur on cars that are highly polished and detailed. They attract attention, and the culprets know that the owner has pride in their car. Lots of jealous people out there who have no respect for others.

While the wireless webcam/email setup WILL work, you're only going to get short clips of video.

Wired system pointed straight at your car, or even the entire lot, going to a Harddrive bank recording 24/7 is the only way to TRULY catch the culprit(s). Honestly...I would say sleep in your car one night and try to catch them red-handed. Beating the snot out of them is surely going to make you feel better, but going to jail for attempted murder is not going to make your day.

 

Sorry to hear...mine just got a ding too. This I find after I managed to put my Intelligent key in a wash cycle!!!
