the electromagnetic clutch is not locked in like a suburu or audi - - if there is a difference in speed between the two wheels, i would imagine that the system just wont activate.
the only time when the clutch is completly locked is in "Snow" mode...which no one uses anyways...and which the manual says only use in slipery conditions (if the wheels change speed on a corner, they will slip instead of harm the transfer case)
whenever you use your AWD system, you wearing it down, I dont think a staggard setup would make it blow up as quickly as everyone says it will
yea - i am sure he wil help you out. its a Amaco station on Merrick road, in merrick right next to the meadowbrooke. PM "da mayor" kenny from infiniti of massapequa, he will help you out setting up a time to go in.
yea, i will kill my shocks quick but whatever. If I notice that the shocks are going out, i will just get unrevised set and some new shocks. I dont think it will be that bad tho.

but seriously...if the tire is WIDER...how does that change the way the system reacts. I can imagine a larger diameter wheeel causing problems, but not a wider tire. if one is wider than the other, they should be moving at the same speeds. but if one is taller, than it will make sense that they will be moving at different speeds...I am going to trade in my rear pentas!

You think $105 bucks for 04 springs is a good deal? with 12k miles? I rather go with the unrevised springs for now I think.

If I go with the 350z springs, you'll talk to the mechanic for me? You know how much he would charge to do the springs? Thanks...

2 bills is the going rate for spring install in the NYC area.
yea, i know how you feel about the 6speed issue, i feal your pain! hehehe
but i am moving to maine next year and I feel that the AWD is worth the Auto. plus the grounding wires from GG made the shifts nearly instant!
i am sure after a tc and vb upgrade the vehicle will be just as good if not quicker than the manual G's anyways.
fyi, i paid about 90 bucks for my revised springs shipped from virginia. they were 04.5 springs with like 40 miles on em. I actually talked him down from another price after showing him a few links to other 350Z selling for much less....i think another member bought some for like 60 bucks.

if your in that area, you might as well get some tsb's repaired at massapequa infiniti. they do some fantastic work! my 05 cabin maybe just as quiet as my friends lexus (rattle wise)
you probably have to drop your car off for the day since he tends to get very busy....his shop is always packed with highend mb's (v12s!
) and even a few infiniti's
