Problems with cabin filter install

Ok, I followed the instructions for dis-assembly and got to remove glove box. However, even after removing all the screws shown in the How-to, the glove box was stilled locked in place.

I put it back together for now, but would like someone who has done this to explain how to remove the glove box after removing the 4 screws and the latch.

There are two clips under the dash to the left and right of where the latch was located. You need to pull donw on the entire dash, not just the glove box. The link may help provide a better visual reference.

Thanks, that helps a lot. I wasn't sure how hard or where to tug on it After I stop the bleeding knuckles, I'll tackle it again.

The only trouble I had with this, (on my '04) was getting the trim piece at the door back in place, I couldn't get it back to where it was. Anyone else?

Seriously, I'll remember that when I change the filter on my '05, I was afraid to hit it too hard.

I had the same issue today when I changed the in-cabin filter. Are you talking about that cover with the clip on the right? I was pushing the clip and it wouldn't go back. If I push any harder the clip would break... I might of bent it a little too. Then.....I realized all you had to do is take your palm and push the cover in the middle and it snaps right in. DUH!
