is it worth it, need opinion
i just recently got a 2004 g35 sedan (black/black) and some guy i know is selling these AXIS rims with tires. They are obiviosly old and they are 18s but he is willing to sell them for $500. With my car not even dropped yet, is it worth it? most of the rides here are on 19s

In my opinion, no. Save the money toward a set of 19's or 20's and springs.
The oem wheels look fine but when you add aftermarket wheels that are small like those they don't look good. (IMO) If you are going to spend $500 get some Eibach or H&R springs and lower your car first. Then get some wheels later.
Also check the classified section here and on My350Z. People are always selling wheels. Being a sedan you can't run the super-aggressive offsets like the coupes and 350's but there are some on there that will work. Even the oem 19's look good.
