Help
Hey everyone i'm going out on a limb here ha.
I just recently got my 2006 g35 x sedan and I love it.
The G scene on long island isnt that popular but ive seen some nice ones around that were lowered nicely.
I would love to lower mine to but I just had a few questions for some car-smart people ha.
1. Is lowering the car going to cause any problems? (besides bounce.)
2. I'm still in highschool so the budget is kind of low. What are the names of some not to expensive springs that could do the job? They do not need to be the highest end stuff but I dont want to hurt the car
I dont want the car to be extremely low but somewhere where when I put my 20" or 19" rims on they will look nice.
Thanks to anyone that helps

just put on h&r 350z springs. not bad!! ride quality is the same but once you hit a bump there is a very little modest bounce to it, riding on stock shocks w/ 40k. handling really is the selling point. car feels very responsive to the twistys. the drop is pretty low for springs. negative camber galore. alignment is off. will post pictures sumtime this week. just thought id give a little info for anyone going with the 350z H&r route. definitely recommend shocks and new oem front shocks. camber kit would be advised but with spacers on 19" oem, the tucked under look sets it off in my opinion.

I posted this in another thread, but figured this one might get more looks.
I've read through many of the posts in this thread, but haven't come across an answer to my question. I have an '05 X and would like a very mild (approx. 1") drop. I know that X's are heavier and give more of a drop than RWD's using identical springs. My question is if anybody has used OEM Coupe springs all around? I've read that they give an RWD a .5" drop, so would they give an X 1"? If so this is exactly what I'm looking for. Would I need to get new shocks/struts with this mild of a drop?
Also, I've obviously read plenty about people using Coupe springs in the rear and Z springs up front, but I think this would give me a little more than I want.

Has anybody put Coupe springs in an X? How much drop did it give you? I also want to avoid sagging in the back.

Hey bro I have some coupe front springs to sell you. Start with that...it'll lower the front a bit and prob match front/rear wheel gaps so the front of the car doesn't look like it's launching all the time.

I just had coupe springs put on our 05x, and it's a GREAT ride/handling/appearance combo. The rears are revised, meaning higher spring rates, so no sag at all. Rear fender usually sits just slightly above the tire...looks great.

So what is your current setup? Do you have Coupe springs all around or Z/Coupe? Do you have any pictures of how much of a drop the Coupes gave you in the front?

Anybody who's replaced rear shocks:
I just got whole sets each of unrevised Z and stock coupe. I'll be putting them on this spring summer. I think I might buy shocks for the rear in the next month or so and just put those on at the same time to avoid any problems. Has anyone used these:

Tokico D-Specs? Only thing listed for Xs. $300's not bad for two. Should be problem free after installing these + springs + alignment after two weeks, yes? ActionAl (posted way back on the first page) has them and his drop looks very nice, and he said he liked em...any other opinions before I buy?
