Thinking of buying...

I went to the dealership today and they have a 03 G35 6MT Desert Platinum sedan w/Navi, VDC, SAT radio, leather the whole 9 with 25,253 miles. I have them down to 22,500 out the door, is this a good deal? If so I will pick it up tomorrow. The car is immaculate, not a stratch inside or out. Let me know!!

Sounds good but get them to throw in a couple years extended warranty just to be sure.

4yr/60K comes standard with the car for $0 from the factory.

For a car in excellent shape with low mileage like that, not a bad deal. Unless you're paying that extra $1300 for nothing.

Did you do a history check on that car? Do you think it's a good price vs. the blue book? If you did and everything checks out, it's a looks like a great deal.

As for the warranty, the $1300 will take the warranty out to 85K or 2010. the original bumper to bumper expires next year a the powertrain exires in 2009. I checked KBB and they have it listed for $25,900. I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima with 43k miles and it is only worth $18,700 in trade, you talking about disappointed. The max has more rear leg room but I love the feel of the G35 and the fit and finish is better.

Have you checked Ebay motors or autotrader.com? I live in Detroit and I have bought used cars in Chicago and Cleveland because I found them on these sites.

This is an auto, and it may not be the color you want but it is CHEAP!

I would be willing tobet that they are still making a heft profit. Probably to the tune of 3500 or better.

I say squeeze em on the warranty becasue there is a high profit margin in those. I have read in automotive industry mags that those policies usually cost 500 to 600 dollars. I say try to cut em on the car some more or the warranty.

All they can say is no nad if you feel like you are getting a good deal then go with it.
