Tornado? or NOT?/ stock Touranza tires blow!

New G35 owner and travel for a living. I am in my car more then I am in bed w/ my wife. which really sucks but oh well someone has to make $$$$$
any how .. I was very excited about the power and performance of the G however I hate the lack of MPG>
has anyone tried the Tornado or any of the forced air systems?

any Ideas? my vehicle is stock and have no problem making modifications I just dont want to pour $$$$ into unproven "AS SEEN ON TV" gimmicks.
any input would be greatly appreciated.

also another quick question. my previous Lexus I had thrown a pair of MXV4 tires on it and loved the ride. what a dramatic change?
anyone recommend a softer riding tire that wont take away from the handling of the harder tire? I hate the touranza's even though they are brand new I am about to grab another set of MXV4's? any thoughts?

The oem Turanza EL42's suck. The only positive thing I can say about them is that when they do lose their grip, it's predictable and gradual and easily recovered from.

If you want comfort and handling, anything that TireRack lists in the Grand Touring category is probably what you want. Retail Bridgestone Turanza LS-V or LS-Z tires are in this category, and much better than the EL42's, though I haven't tried them myself. MXV4's are also in this category.

Don't waste your money on the Tornado.

sythetic oil, new filter Z Tube.

I hated the Turanzas. I was forever grateful when I got my falkins put on. and the falkins I have arent considered the best either...but they are still many times better than the factory tires.

I read an article in Popular Mechanics about all of these so-called mileage improvers. None of them work according to them.

Think about it.... if they did work don't you think the manufacturer's would install them at the factory ? Don't get ripped-off on the hype.
Let one of these guys offer a 100% money back guarantee !!!

Welcome , David, enjoy the new ride, and yes there are more worthwhile mods out there.

I am a road warrior as well and I had lots of hydroplaning and traction issues with the turanzas. I bought some Yokohama advan sport XLs from Tire Rack and I am quite happy. Good traction, good in wet and the best part is that they are quiet on the highway. They are pricey but I think that it is worth it.

Tornado is a waste of money. My X has stock Goodyear tires and I think they are phenomenal in all weather conditions. Maybe you could get those?

Yeah, that thing gives you like 25hp- The best part, it improves mileage by 100% -But wait, there's more- If you call now we'll throw in a bottle of super octane boost that'll boost hp by yet another 25hp.....
