Brakes under warranty?

I noticed my pads have started to squeek a bit. The car is an 05 with 27k miles... can they be replaced under warranty... or is there no warranty on brake components?

You probably don't need your brakes replaced for squeaking, I had a vehicle a while back that began squeaking around 11k, and they removed the pads and cleaned them and the rotors up somehow, never had a squeak again, brakes lasted over 40k!

I had my front rotors and pads replaced on my 05X at 15,000 miles. Infiniti extended the brake warranty for the '03s and '04's but not the '05s. Both the dealer and Infiniti customer service said that enough people complain the brake warranty could be extended to cover the '05s .
Please complain to Infinity customer service at 800-662-6200.

The brakes on the '05 X and '05 Sedan are different, the sedan has bigger brakes, makes no sense to me why Infiniti didn't change the X brakes until '06, these are so much nicer.

Well you know what Jetblackg35, Jim Coleman Infiniti in Bethesda MD didn't cover the replacement under warranty. Why don't you tell us how to get Infiniti to cover this repair. Infiniti knows that it would be to right thing to do, but since when do manufactuers do the right thing.

+1..... They can get glazed and just need a cleaning and to be roughed up with sandpaper/

Inifiniti changed all the pads and the front rotors on my 04 sdn...saying it was normal wear, under warranty @ 17K but at 22k the squeaks and now groans are noticable. They claim all is well, but at my cost, cutting the rear rotors may help. While it was in the dealership, they replaced my fuel lines under a service bulletin.

^That's bull$hit, the brakes are under warranty on the '04 for 36/36, do you have the letter Infiniti sent out, or did you buy your '04 used? I'd be talking to Infiniti if they refused brake waork in that time/mileage frame.

I got a used 04 5AT sedan. I called in and they said the brakes R covered 36/36. I have a lot of brake dust is that normal? I had a 2000 celica gt-s I changed the brakes at 110,000miles front only.

I have a lot of brake dust on my 04.

I assume the brakes will be checked as part of the 30K service which I'll be having within the next 2 months (before the 36 months are up).

Yes, the heavy brake dust is normal for the '03-'04 models, and they do wear fast, also normal sorry to say. That has been addressed in later models.
