Hey Guys,

I don't get how the seat memory works on the 6MT. Is it supposed to slide back with you turn off the ignition? Is it supposed to do anything at all?

So far, I have not seen anything happen to my driver's seat when I turn on/off the ignition. I don't know what the Memory is memorizing.

It memorizes how you like your seat adjusted. So if your GF or wife drives it in a different seating position, you can just press the button and it will automatically put the seat back to the way you like it.

6mt models do not have the 'Entry/Exit' assist feature. It only applies to the AT models. I believe it was disabled as a safety precaution so as not to interfere w. the operation of the mt's clutch.

Yea, I have a 6MT and feel a bit jipped on the memory seats. In order for them to work, you have to have the parking brake on and the key in the On position. Also, word of warning... the cancel button doesn't turn the memory seats off in the 6MT (as it does in the 5AT). What it does do is erase the memory in button one and two.

Overall, they're worthless for the 6MT. Why both models aren't linked to the keyfob is beyond me.

 

My GF's Acura CL auto does the same, except it needs to be in park for you to select the memory. I think they do it for safety.
