I'm still in on the pillar pod, but I'm also converting my center cubby cover to a gauge pod as well (I KNEW not getting Nav was gonna pay off somehow!!). I'll post pics and a step-by-step when I'm done, if anybody wants to DIY.

Mine are going to be total replacements for the stock pillars.

Ahem... Um, I saw that you are done with your DD. So how about those pillars.

LOL. I knew you were going to ask that. I have been so busy with everything! The entertainment stand I was working on took sooooo much longer than I originally anticipated. Right now I am working on making some speaker pods for the doors. (Something I have been trying to do for a while now). I even bought the fiberglass to do the A-Pillars!!! I feel bad. I WILL say that I have been searching high and low for a suede material. I found some paint by Krylon that is supposed to resemble suede, but it isn't that impressive. I went to 3 different fabric stores trying to find suede material with no luck on a color match. I think the best bet is this stuff called "flocking". You spray a special adhesive on the piece, then sift this nylon fiber material over it that creates a suede look. I think that is how they made our pillars. The only thing is that you have to order it, and who knows how well the color will match. What do you think?

Sounds awesome. If you want to PM me a how to, then maybe I could give it a shot on building these pillars for us if you don't have time. Let me know.

Dual pods for Sedan

Mounting mine right now. Black is all I could find. May have to spray paint the white pilar edges a bit after all is done. They seems to match the black dash pretty well.

Front.
