Common Rattles in a G

I want to compile a list of common rattles for the G35 sedan, following the follow format:

#.Year/Option Package, Approximated Rattle Location, Under what type of driving condition, Actual Source, Problem Resolved?

I will start first:

1. '06/Premium B, & Sport Pack., Rattle near backseat, while traveling over bumps and more noticeable at HWY speed, Unknown, Under investigation.

Thanks,
Nelson

My 05 was a rattling s**tcan at first, but the dealer took care of some of them. The cool thing is that all of the rest of them took care of themself as the car has gotten older. My car has 12000 miles on it now and I am very happy with my purchase. Get the dealer to take care of most of them and hopefully most of them will go away on their own like mine did.

P.S. I am **** as hell so I have not gotten used to mine, they actually took care of themself as the car settled in.

Thumbs up

i have an 05/6MT premium and its seems like my back two windows rattle a little when turning or going over slight bumps...i had the seal replaced around the passenger door but that did nothing to prevent rattling. i have 20k miles on my sedan and it sounds the same as ususal. i also think it may be coming from the pillars near rear headrests. i did manage to have them removed when i wrapped them in suede but still sounds the same. my car is at the dealer at the moment getting the tranny replaced due to a clicking noise coming from my clutch pedal, i will let them know about the rattling....again!

About 30 inches above the passengers side seat, I have this intermittent droning. It only happens above 75 MPH.

Oh wait. That's my wife nagging that I'm going to get a ticket if I don't slow down.

I fixed it with a well placed rolled up tube sock. Never mind.

One that both my G35's had/have is one coming from the right side of the dash, around the glove compartment, only really here it on a good bump, like a bridge road seam, or more. Seems like it had dissipated on my '04, it's a plastic against plastic sound like you get from pushing on the keyboard.

'04 AT:

1. Center Console, Center Console, Center Console!!!!!! Squeak, creak, buzz, rattle!!!!!

2. Driver B-pillar.

3. Of course, the damnable compression rod crunching/creaking sound. This isn't a classic interior rattle, but it's the worst sound my car makes. :-(((

There's a TSB on this problem but it doesn't apply to '06. Might wanna try it anyway.

I haven't visited this site for over a year and G35 owners are still talking about all the squeaks and rattles. My 03.5 is a fricken rattle trap.I will never buy Infiniti again.I gave up finding the rattles and getting the dealer to fix them a long time ago.Thankfully it is summer here so I can drive my Mustang GT convertible;more fun and fewer rattles.

I had a constant rattle behind the dash of my GT, a cannister of some sort, and the windows always creaked, more so in the winter months, more annoying than anything I've experienced with my G35's.
