03 with 75k miles

My dad is still driving his late 80's Toyota 4runner with over 220k miles. That engine just keeps going and going. My dad refuses to give that car up.

Edit: Sorry, meant to post this in the other thread about high mileage G's.

I've owned 3 (1989, 1989, 1992) Volvo 240 sedans-- respectively with >400,000 miles each!! 150K isn't much when you've owned cars that easily get >500K. But I love my G best!

The 140k does not shock me at all. My car has over 70k on it with ~20k of those being boosted. I expect her to last a long time.

wtf?

Whats with all the amazement? I would expect a car with this price tag to go at least a 1/4 million miles. If Ford & Chevy can make a cast iron, push rodded, normally aspirated dinosaur do it with ease why the hell can't a company with somewhat more sophistocation(at least thats what they advertise)? If my G doesn't last at least 150K with no major issues I'm going back toyota or back to a prehistoric 350 chevy. My Toyota Tacoma never saw a dealership or any other maintenance other than scheduled and I put 178K on it with ZERO issues. I've already had more creaks, groans, silly plastic interior issues, cheesy exterior paint and so on issues with my 05 G than I ever had with other cars and I've only put 5K miles on it since purchase. It damn well better go the distance!!!!!!!!!!

Well I hope most G's can fairly easily go over 150k miles.

Just clicked off 110K on my lunch break today on my 03 Sedan. No problems whatsoever (knock on wood).

I do agree honda motors are more reliable than nissans. I can bet my life on that one, but I did here about the 5AT recall. I know the nissan 5AT is pretty close to bullet proof. Granted I only have 30k on a 04.5. But I can beat you all. I took a 1993 lexus es300 to 330k no joke. I had to replace the tranny once and the head gaskets once. But i swear the thing was a workhorse. Obviously it was starting to fall apart but jesus everyone was so impressed. I sold it to a guy who lives in my complext for 1500 bucks and he says he takes it to downtown LA from orange county every day and it hasn't broken down. It has 360k now.... WOW... I love my G but Toyota is just the **** for reliability!

OK lets talk depreciation, 11 months old and my G has 45k, yes 45k. It ought to last 300k+, my 2000 outback limited sedan went 298K before I shipped it off to Mexico for $2500-, and odly enough the original radiator did not last much more than 2 1/2-3 years(140K) either. I could have drove it another 100k I am sure and it never had major issues just maintainance. I got so sick of driving it. I am planning on 300K ought of my G, I will keep you posted.
