No break in period?

Re: No break in period?
Mrjim:
For my break-in, I tried to be reasonable during the first 1000 miles, but did put down the pedal when necessary (and sometimes just for fun). The next 500 miles I drove it a bit harder, and from 1500-2000 I laid it down hard. The only real exception to this was when a pal was driving and he red-lined it on a freeway onramp at about 800 miles or so.
I'm coming up on 3k now and the car still drives, sounds, feels, and rides great. I still chirp the tires in 3rd when I get a good launch and I haven't noticed any probems whatsoever.
