How much power is lost with the A/C on?

The only reason why i didn't turn off the a/c was that my Grandparents were in the car and they hate it when i street race. He was being an a$$ yelling at me swearing, tried to swerve his car into me, followed me wherever i went. I wasn't doing anything to the guy. Like I said before he cut me off so i had to switch lanes. Then after I honked the horn he goes wild on me. I dropped my grandparents and sister off and went home. I went back looking for him but never found him.

In every car I have been in, econ doesn't engage the A/C.
The A/C compressor should cycle while its on auto/defrost/recirculate. It's normal.
As stated earlier, the A/C compressor will disengage at higher rpm's and throttle angles.

I do notice a slight difference in gas mileage this time of year using the a/c all the time, but not terrible, so it must affect the power to some extent IMO.

I have may time slips to compare AC on vs off, 1/4 mile.
on average I would get 0.05 to 0.1 second better with AC off at Most,
My estimation is a loss of 5-9 HP, not a lot as the AC got cut off
at WOT near redline. On G, .1 sec~10HP.
VDC off also 0.1 faster.
However, usually Run to Run variation >0.2 seconts,
so I don't think it'll make a real difference on street.
