Sedan mods to increase torque/acceleration

Is there any easy bolt-on mod that can be done to a sedan to drastically improve the torque/acceleration? Most of the mods I see result in near-redline power increase, but at the expense of low-end torque. I don't run my car all that hard, but would love to make it quicker in the acceleration category.

A 3.9 read end swap would do the trick.

Yeah....what he said (just kidding)...I have no idea what he said, but sounds like changing gear ratio.

I think (I don't have one & not 100% sure), but I think a lightweight flywheel/pulley would address your concerns..though it's not an easy "bolt on".

The 3.9 rear end swap changes the main gear in the rear differential so that the rear wheels turn more times per crankshaft revolution than with the stock rear end. This enhances acceleration but lowers top speed.

Or if you want cheap torque, get the MD 5/16" spacer. It's not going to be a huge improvement, but you have to be pretty numb to not notice it at all.

yep - spacer is my recommendation too for cheap bolt on torque... either 5/16" or 1/2"

but as previously stated if you want a neck jerk reaction Stillen SC is the way to go (at a MUCH greater expense).

some 13" wheels should do the trick.

lighter tire wheel combo.........if you're into the oem look..get the Z track 18 wheels......18.2lbs front and 18.6lbs rear.......lose the spare tire and jack......then go on a diet of your own...j/k......but true if you want quicker acceleration.....

a few things you can do on any car (universal):

1) lighter rotating mass....from wheels to pulleys and brake rotors.

2) increasing velocity, mainly intake, but def exhaust - intake side velocity stacks usually work well, but most times are custom add ons

3) removing weight....but as the old rule of thumb dictates.... 100lbs per tenth of second gained.

4) as said above, lighter flywheel setup, or a torque converter/shift kit for autos, works well.
