Hey found this doing a search on the very topic.

I am about to buy some coupe wheels and have the 03 z springs... Is there an issue with the combo? This seems to be what I am reading.

Thnx.

1) putting my oem rear springs back on since the drop was only .7 i think this would solve it?

2) someone told me the x springs will lower my g .5 instead of .7? i still wouldnt doubt if my rears still rubbed though? also would getting a stiffer strut help out lets say from g35x as well or coupes? tokico?

3) replacing my rear oem tire size 245/40/19 to 245/35/19? but i think they are size 40 for a reason maybe it smoothens things up??

4) getting another pair of FRONT coupe wheels and putting them on so they are all the same size lOL ??

5) and of course ROLLING MY FENDERS but i dont think it would clear still? those rear wheels on the coupes are chunkier than i thought!

dont kill me

Wait..... are those FORGED wheels?!?

I would start with rolling your fenders and see if that fixes the problem. Spacers will make it worse. If you have to change the springs or get some smaller tires.

i installed coupe wheels on my sedan which has a 2.5" drop i would say.... yes it rubs in the rear without 3 people in the rear but rolling the fender will help.... worst case to really make the coupe wheel fit is to bring it to a wheel shop and have them shave the offset to bring it around a 38mm offset then.

There was an occassion when my rim (not the tires was right next to the fender with 3 people in the back and some heavy stuff in the trunk plust 1.3 drop from my springs. So with total about 3 inch drop in the back the car wouldn't rub at all. So shaving ur fenders should solve any problems with 245 tire in the back.

I rarely carry passengers and seriously do not have the time in my schedule for a few months to visit a body shop to shave or roll my fenders. I want these wheels but can't afford to have the downtime onor do I want to risk damaging the car or the wheels.

thx for the feedback

What if I don't want to lower or change springs.. can I just put a pair of coupe 19s on my sedan w/ 235s without any issues ?

235's would fix the problem but you would loose some grip. I still say to roll your fenders. It's not that hard, I did mine.

I dont think u will have rubbing issues if u do that, but the car isn't gonna look any nicer than in a stock form.

RZ Motoring in Tampa shaves fenders. I suspect it would take about an hour or so to do both sides. Give Daniel a call and he can probably get it set up for you.

well if ur not gonna have people in ur back seat u dont really have anything to worry about except some sharp turns here and there...some sway bars are a must as well!

So how about the Revised 350Z springs on a sedan and the 19" forged coupe wheels? Would there be any rubbing issues?
