When modding any car, the most performance part add hp. But what people are forgetting is that it add hp at a different part of the power band, area under the curve. So peak gain is less then what your calculator tells you. Sure one may want to believe that all those parts make 50 hps, who doesn't when you start spendin $$. A bit optimistic as a fully built motor w/motec, valvetrain and crank upgrade only put out 347hp at the crank. That only work when you're bench racing, in reality, around 30hp is more realistic. Similar kid told me his SER Spec V had 225HP, I thought he meant stock, i was impressed. I drove it, and thought that was the most lifeless 225hp 4cyl ive ever drove. Then he told me that the greddy exhaust, aftermarket ignition(which he had no idea what it was or where) ACT clutch and LW flywheel, Injen intake added up to the 225hp.
