Window Regulator Issue - Video -

Alright.
My two front windows have been making these creaking sound as they roll up into the rubber runner untop. As it makes the creaking noise (while its all the way up), you can see the window try to push itself further up into the rubber runners. Playing with the regulator bolts can help decrease or increase the noise.

First, I had the dealership replace the window regulators. It worked fine, but after two weeks, the noise came back again.

just yesterday, I tore apart my door and re-torqued and lubricated (silicone spray) every bolt. This helped reduced the noise a bit, but is still there and very strong.

After the window moves up into the rubber runner and makes its creaking noise, I can still press up and it will still attempt to push further into the rubber.
If I press and hold up for at least 3 or 4 seconds, the window will seat itself in the rubber runner (and make the creaking sound) and any attempt to press up again after will result in just that normal confirmation "click"

Here are video clips from this morning

First is my malfuctioning Front Window

Second is my perfectly fine rear Window

For the front window clip, There are five actions
1)I use "Auto Down"
2)I use "Auto Up"
3)I tap up again(window seems to try and push further into the rubber runner)
4)I hold up for about 3 seconds
5)Pressing up after the "press and hold" procedure

Here are the links to the videos

(rear window)

I noticed that during rain, the creaking noise stops (is it a lubrication issue?)

any suggestions?

should i take it a step further and re-install and re-lube the entire window assembly?

car

well, my rear windows are fine and they have the same film

also, my front drivers side window went before the passenger

however, the front windows are a different design sooo....

ask the tint shop what they think.
was it both windows?
did it start immediatly after the tint?
(mine did not)

Sounds to me like the window motor is trying to push the window further than it should go therefore you hear the motor gears stripping across each other.

yea i'm def going to ask the tint shop what happened... The thing is i originally got 50% in the front and 20% on 3 back then i decided to change to 35% on the 2 front cuz 50 was way to light and didn't do squat against uv protection... so i noticed after a week or so after the new tint i started getting the squeaking noises on my driver window and the same creaking noise when it closes like the one you have...when i have some spare time i will def go to the shop and see whats good.... ill let you know what happens

you think that sounds like gears stripping? if thats so, and with the frequency i use my windows, the gear should be smooth by now!!!

anyways, would you think the only solution would be a motor replacement?

i cant take that inside panel off the door to look at the motor action without removing the regulator...i dont know how else to determain the problem except guess and test

I have a creaking noise. But mine is more than likely a seating issue. I fear complaining to dealers. Because they may say its due to the tinting .

Your noise sounds horrible.
