So when people tell you the G sedan trunk is small......
Show them this.
I just returned from a week long trip to Florida. In the car was myself, wife, and 19 month old son along with all this gear which fit into the trunk:
1 Huge suitcase
1 Large duffel bag
1 set of golf clubs
1 case of beer
1 bag tools
1 baby high chair
1.5 bags of 40 count diapers
1 laptop bag with laptop
1 play dump truck
1 plastic bucket set
Not pictured, but was put in the trunk later:
2 days worth of groceries
1 full size pillow

Oh, and the car got 29mpgs on the 450 mile trek in 90+ degree weather and the cruise at 80mph.

The MPGs blew me away too. My previous best was a high 27s. I attribute the excellent MPGs to a slight tailwind and a downward grade from 1200' in Atlanta down to sea level in St. Augustine, FL. I got a crack over 28mpg on the way back.

haha, what a cool pop's.
I think the trunk is pretty big...last time my gf pissed me off, I stuffed her in there and she fit pretty well.
Edit:
On the serious note, the gas mileage is impressive.

I'd throw them in the trunk for a bit...
The G35's trunk is good sized, but the only compaint people may have is that the opening for the trunk can be a bit bigger, or at least at a better angle.

trunk space
I'm headed down to Houston next weekend to the space center! And of course the G is providing the transportation. Wow, 29mpg is awesome. I'll be happy with 24 or 25. The trunk is truely a decent size and I'm glad you stood up for the elmo abuse. That's crap, plus elmo doesn't travel in the trunk, he sits up front!
