Anyone know if the cd player from the new g35 sedans that support mp3 playback can be retrofitted for an 03 sedan? I like the look of the stock head unit and would prefer to avoid an aftermarket stero.

 

I am nearly certain you cannot drop the newer head units in to the '03s, and that is a travesty in my mind. Especially considering the funky form factor they used, making an aftermarket replacement an adventure in replacing AC Controller and such. It shouldn't cost $300 just to get the ability to put a different head unit in.

Infiniti screwed up big-time on this one.

I would love to be wrong on the head unit replacement, but I don't think I am.
